Job summary

PartnerRe Ltd. is seeking a data analyst to focus on data management within the Life & Health APAC domain. You will extract and load client data, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery, while maintaining robust documentation and controls.

The role requires 3–5 years of data operations experience, a degree or diploma, and strong Excel and R skills; SQL or Python is a plus for data extraction. Ideal candidates have life re/insurance knowledge and excellent communication across levels.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst, data operations, or similar role.
• Degree or Diploma holder with relevant experience.
• Experience in Life re/insurance, actuarial support, or data management is preferred.
• Possess knowledge on re/insurance operations.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and R skills for data preparation and analysis.
• Working knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus for data extraction and querying.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills.
• Analytical mindset with a head for controls.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an effective way to business users.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact and communicate across all levels.
• Thoughtful and meticulous with level of understanding.

Responsibilities

• Extract and load data into our system, including data and plan mapping for all clients investigating and resolving client issues.
• Ensure data quality – Processed data needs to be complete, accurate, consistent and relevant, as well as completed on a timely basis.
• Maintain and enhance documentation and controls relating to but not limited to configuration plans, testing results, sign offs.
• Develop and improve tools to streamline data management and quality controls
• Actively monitor client account data and produce summary reports highlighting trends and issues
• Participate in projects and other ad hoc duties as assigned

The role

The holder of this position will be reporting to the Head of Administration and Accounting – Life & Health, APAC. Good quality data is essential to our business. Data received is analysed and used in different functions for various financial, actuarial studies and reporting.

In this role, you will be entirely assigned to data management, be part of the Life Operations APAC team and interact regularly with Technical Accountants and Actuaries from other departments (Reserving and Pricing):

• Extract and load data into our system, including data and plan mapping for all clients investigating and resolving client issues.
