About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven SME Business Exit & M&A Consultant to join our advisory team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience helping small and medium enterprises (SMEs) prepare, package, and position their businesses for successful sale or acquisition. You will play a key role in guiding business owners through the exit‑readiness journey—from strategy, valuation uplift, and governance improvement to deal negotiation and closing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Packaging & Exit Planning
    Diagnose SME business models, profitability, risks, and valuation gaps.
    Design exit‑readiness roadmaps to increase company attractiveness to investors or buyers.
    Guide clients in improving structure, governance, and financial transparency for sale.
  • Valuation & Deal Preparation
    Conduct business valuations and identify levers to enhance enterprise value.
    Prepare company profiles, teasers, and investor decks for sale or merger.
    Liaise with buyers, brokers, and legal teams during the due diligence and negotiation process.
  • Strategy & Advisory
    Advise clients on succession planning, M&A options (trade sale, management buy‑out, partial divestment).
    Provide insights on industry benchmarks, buyer trends, and comparable deal structures.
    Support financial modelling and 3‑year growth projections to justify higher sale multiples.
  • Implementation & Project Management
    Coordinate with internal consultants, legal, and finance partners to ensure project delivery.
    Oversee grant‑supported consultancy projects (e.g., Enterprise Singapore’s EDG).
    Deliver client presentations, reports, and progress reviews.
