Job Title: Business Analyst (Trade Finance)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to act as a trusted advisor between business and technology teams. This role focuses on managing business demands, defining high-level solutions, driving change implementation, and ensuring stable and sustainable business operations in the Trade Finance domain. The successful candidate will combine strong business domain knowledge with the ability to translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor for business demands requiring technology or operations enablement.
  • Prioritize business requests and co-create business roadmaps with business segments.
  • Support the Biz T&O Head in managing project pipelines, pre-project planning, and quarterly prioritization.
  • Foster strong relationships with business leaders, technology, and operational partners to drive effective business change.

2. High-Level Solutioning

  • Develop high-level solutions to illustrate feasibility in achieving target business outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational technology roadmaps and strategies, in consultation with enterprise architecture and technology teams.
  • Collaborate with business users and internal technology teams to define and analyze business requirements.
  • Initiate implementation planning, including business readiness for new processes and technical components.

3. Change Implementation Planning & Management

  • Scope and evaluate new initiatives, considering scalability, maintainability, cost, operations, and risk.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (BAs, architects, testing, BTS) to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Support user acceptance testing, review test scenarios, and resolve business-related issues.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure smooth delivery.

4. Managing RUN

  • Manage communication and updates to business stakeholders on critical incidents impacting operations.
  • Review system stability, responsiveness, and incident/problem tickets with business stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for BAU systems.
  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely resolution of gaps.

5. Sustainable Improvements

  • Build sustainable processes to measure business benefits and ensure resources are aligned with high-ROI initiatives.
  • Propose and implement system improvements by analyzing current practices and designing modifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in banking or consulting.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Trade Finance.
  • Solid understanding of banking operations, processes, and supporting technologies.
  • Proven experience in change management, project management, and business-technology alignment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process design skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
  • Resilient, proactive, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Experience in scoping and evaluating initiatives with consideration of scalability, maintainability, cost, and risk.

Key Skills

  • Trade Finance domain knowledge (preferred).
