We are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner (BA / PO) to drive payment application projects for our client in Singapore which is a top global investment bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors for payment application projects.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements with a clear understanding of banking and payment processes.
- Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria to guide development and testing.
- Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and maintain business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, process flows, and training documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and operations teams throughout the SDLC to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT testing to validate that deliverables meet user and compliance expectations.
- Support project delivery, integration, and go-live activities, ensuring operational readiness and user adoption.
- Ensure payment-related products comply with relevant security and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 20022).
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner in banking, payments, or fintech domains.
- Proven experience working on payment systems, payment gateways, or transaction processing platforms.
- Strong techno-functional background — able to engage in both business process discussions and system-level analysis.
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Understanding of compliance and security standards such as PCI-DSS will be an advantage.
- Experience with ISO 20022, SWIFT, or other financial messaging standards is a plus.
