Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is seeking a Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Singapore. You will bridge external stakeholders and internal teams, translating business needs into functional specs and driving successful implementation of technology solutions.

The role includes requirements gathering, solution design, testing support, and data-driven process improvements. You should have 3 years of BA/PM experience, Diploma/BB in CS/IT, and familiarity with UML/BPMN,

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
• CBAP or PMI-BA is a plus.
• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Experience liaising between external stakeholders and internal teams.

What will you do?

As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a vital bridge between external stakeholders and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment between business needs and technology solutions. Your role involves understanding and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and facilitating the successful implementation of solutions that meet both external and internal expectations.

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
• Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather detailed information about business processes and needs.
• Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.

Solution Design and Implementation:

• Work with Design & Technical teams to design and validate solutions that meet business requirements.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure that solutions are delivered as intended.
• Support the implementation of new systems and processes, including user training and change management.

Project Management Support:

• Assist in project planning, tracking, and reporting activities, ensuring alignment between external expectations and internal capabilities.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, project managers, and development teams.
• Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks that may arise.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Develop and deliver reports and presentations that provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Create and maintain documentation of business processes, systems, and workflows.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements that benefit both external stakeholders and internal operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure that solutions are innovative and competitive.

Domain Skills

• Good understanding of IT systems, databases, and software development processes.
• Development experience or knowledge of programming languages and concepts.
• Experience with software and tools used for business analysis and documentation.

Non-domain Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to facilitate collaboration between external and internal parties.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., UML, BPMN, wireframing).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) is desirable.

Education and certification

• Diploma/bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
• CBAP or PMI-BA is a plus.

Experience

• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Systems Analyst or in similar role.
• Participated in medium to large scale project solutions delivery
• Proven experience in acting as a liaison between external stakeholders and internal teams.
• Experience in requirement gathering, data analysis, and solution design.
• Background in software development or programming (e.g., experience with languages like Python, Java, .NET or JavaScript) is highly desirable.
