You will translate business needs into practical AI use cases and prototypes, working with business and technical stakeholders to deliver value. Based in Central Singapore, the role focuses on designing, piloting and scaling AI initiatives while promoting safe, responsible AI practices and governance.

Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst (AI) to support the adoption and implementation of Artificial Intelligence solutions across the organisation. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, develop prototypes, drive adoption, and promote the safe and responsible use of AI.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business, technology and AI, and is able to translate technical concepts into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify business pain points, process inefficiencies and automation opportunities where AI can deliver value.
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into practical AI use cases and solutions.
• Design and support the development of AI/Generative AI prototypes and applications.
• Work with stakeholders to evaluate, pilot and implement AI solutions across different business functions.
• Conduct workshops and engagement sessions to improve AI literacy and adoption among users.
• Provide guidance on the safe, responsible and appropriate use of AI and Generative AI tools.
• Monitor deployed AI initiatives and identify opportunities to improve or scale successful solutions.
• Track and report outcomes such as productivity improvements, efficiency gains, adoption and cost savings.
• Develop reusable AI frameworks, guidelines, documentation and training materials.
• Keep up to date with developments in Generative AI, LLMs, AI governance, regulations and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, policy and business teams to support successful AI implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, AI/Innovation Analyst or similar role.
• Good understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including their capabilities, limitations and risks.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and practical experience using LLMs to solve business problems.
• Experience supporting AI adoption, digital transformation, automation or innovation initiatives.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical or product requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including business users, developers, product teams and external partners.
• Structured and detail-oriented with good documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience building AI/LLM applications, prototypes or Proof-of-Concepts (POCs).
• Knowledge of Python.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment of AI/ML models and LLM applications.
• Understanding of AI governance, responsible AI, data privacy and AI-related regulations.
• Experience working in the public sector or a highly regulated environment.
