Position: Business Analyst (Commercial Excellence & Enablement)
Key Responsibilities
Financial Profitability Analysis
- Profitability Analysis & Simulation: Assess top-line and bottom-line metrics across accounts and segments to guide commercial decisions. Identify volume-mix shifts, optimize product mix, and improve margin contribution. Collaborate with sales and marketing to evaluate ROI on campaigns and trade spend. Deliver monthly and quarterly profitability reports.
- Scenario Modelling & Sensitivity Analysis: Model contract renewals and pricing strategies to evaluate breakeven points and profitability.
- Commercial Gatekeeping: Oversee spend and pricing strategies by segment and category. Ensure compliance with Tender SOPs and validate sales commitments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with commercial and finance teams to align financial planning with sales objectives.
Commercial Enablement & Process Optimization
- Assist in driving the implementation and improvement of sales and commercial processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Prepare and maintain business reports on ongoing commercial projects, tracking timelines, milestones, KPIs, and outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and provide visibility to key stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to roll out new tools, systems, and SOPs.
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness of new processes, gather feedback, and refine workflows as needed.
- Conduct training or onboarding sessions for sales teams on tools, reports, and new process flows.
- Collaborate with department users and DST to enhance systems.
- Gather user requirements and assist in testing or U to ensure business needs are met.
Strategic Support & Initiatives
- Support the team with ad hoc analysis and preparation for key presentations, customer negotiations, or projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Data Analytics.
- 3–5 years of experience in Commercial Excellence, Financial Profitability Analysis, Performance Metrics Analysis, or similar functions, preferably in the FMCG, Manufacturing, or Startup sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP.
- Experience in Series B/C startup environments is a plus, especially in supporting growth or implementing commercial tools and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven, and cross-functional environment.
