Our client is a maritime technology startup company and currently, they are searching for a Business Analyst who will play a key role in driving data-backed decision-making and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the group.
This role will be responsible for building and maintaining financial models, conducting market and competitive analyses, and preparing insights that inform corporate strategy, fundraising, and business planning. It develops and invests in digital solutions for the global shipping industry.

This role requires a highly analytical and commercially minded individual who can translate complex data into clear business recommendations, support leadership in evaluating opportunities, and contribute to the company’s financial and strategic objectives.
Working closely with the Corporate Development and Finance teams, you will help ensure decisions are grounded in rigorous analysis and aligned with the company’s long-term growth agenda.
The position will be based in Singapore.
JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)
Financial Modelling & Business Analysis
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business performance, profitability, and valuation scenarios.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the financial impact of strategic and operational decisions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning processes across group companies.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights to support management decision‑making.
Market & Competitive Research
- Perform market, industry, and competitive analyses to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
- Prepare sectoral reports and benchmarks to guide strategic direction and investment priorities.
- Work closely with leadership to synthesize research findings into business recommendations.
Strategic Planning & Corporate Development Support
- Collaborate with the Corporate Development and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives, partnerships, and new business evaluations.
- Contribute to the assessment of potential investment or partnership opportunities through analytical and financial due diligence.
- Assist in monitoring portfolio company performance, identifying improvement areas, and tracking key success metrics.
Investor Materials & Executive Reporting
- Prepare high‑quality investor presentations, fundraising materials, and management reports.
- Develop and refine pitch decks, performance dashboards, and strategic briefing documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency and clarity of messaging across all investor and leadership communications.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with product, operations, and finance teams to align business plans with financial and strategic goals.
- Participate in internal reviews and project discussions to provide analytical support and business insights.
- Assist in implementing tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms to enhance business visibility and decision‑making.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Professional certification or training in financial analysis, corporate strategy, or data analytics (e.g., CFA, CFM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Proven understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and investment principles.
- Exposure to M&A, fundraising, or strategic planning processes preferred.
- Strong command of business productivity and collaboration tools including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and data visualization platforms.
- Continuous learning mindset with an eagerness to stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and innovation in the digital and industrial space.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in strategy, finance, consulting, or within technology‑driven startups.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience preparing high quality presentations and reports for senior stakeholders.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision‑making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in engaging cross‑functional teams and leadership.
- Self‑starter with strong adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and comfort working in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
