Qualifications

• Finance, business or economics degree; CFA/CFM advantageous.
• 3–5 years in strategy, finance, consulting or tech startups; M&A or fundraising exposure preferred.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and market analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; data visuals for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business performance, profitability, and valuation scenarios.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the financial impact of strategic and operational decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes across group companies.
• Perform market, industry, and competitive analyses to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
• Prepare sectoral reports and benchmarks, synthesising research findings into clear business recommendations for leadership.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Development and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives, partnerships, and new business evaluations.
• Contribute to the assessment of potential investment and partnership opportunities through analytical and financial due diligence.
• Monitor portfolio company performance, identifying improvement areas and tracking key success metrics.
• Prepare high-quality investor presentations, fundraising materials, pitch decks, performance dashboards, and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with product, operations, and finance teams to align business plans with financial and strategic goals, and assist in implementing tools and reporting processes that enhance business visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certification such as CFA or CFM is an advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in strategy, finance, consulting, or technology-driven startups, with exposure to M&A, fundraising, or strategic planning preferred.
• Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, market analysis, and business case development, with a sound understanding of financial statements and investment principles.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data visualisation platforms and in preparing high-quality presentations and reports for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a self-starter mindset and a strong interest in technology and innovation in sectors such as maritime, industrial tech, or fintech.
