Job description

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. This role involves understanding the business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and working closely with IT and other departments to implement solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information.
  • Document and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
Process Analysis
  • Analyze and model existing business processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose optimized solutions.
  • Develop workflow diagrams and data models.
Solution Design
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to design solutions.
  • Create functional specifications and user stories.
  • Ensure solutions meet business objectives and requirements.
Project Management
  • Assist in project planning, including timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery.
Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Develop test plans and test cases.
  • Conduct and coordinate testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track issues and ensure they are resolved.
Change Management
  • Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies.
  • Provide training and support to users.
  • Develop user manuals and documentation.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights.
  • Prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and business improvements.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications
Education
