Responsibilities

• Safe Operation: Drive buses safely and follow all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip checks on brakes, tires, lights, fluid levels, and emergency equipment.
• Schedule & Route Adherence: Follow planned routes, meet designated departure and arrival times, and adapt to traffic or weather delays.
• Passenger Assistance & Safety: Help passengers board and exit, secure mobility aids, and enforce onboard conduct and safety rules.
• Fare Collection: Collect fares, validate tickets, or track passenger counts accurately.
• Incident & Emergency Reporting: Report accidents, mechanical failures, delays, or unruly behavior immediately to dispatch or school/company authorities.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the bus interior clean, monitor fuel and mileage logs, and report defects to maintenance teams.
