A leading logistics company in Singapore seeks a Facilities Engineer to oversee building maintenance and coordinate vendors. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a NITEC in Engineering or Facility Management, and strong communication skills. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards and performing preventive maintenance. Opportunities for responding to after-office hours assignments exist.
As part of the engineering function at UPS, the candidate:
Supervise and coordinate building maintenance work such as air-conditioning, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, building, plumbing and sanitary systems and general services.
Assign and manage vendors in the execution of facility management and housekeeping activities.
Carry out preventive maintenance of properties and attend to all minor work request assigned by the reporting manager.
Respond and attend to all breakdowns and fault calls.
Carry out incidental minor repairs work with hand tools in the facility.
Ensure the facility adheres to UPS safety standards, meets regulatory guidelines and protects UPS employees and contractors.
Conduct system inspections.
Possess at least a NITEC or equivalent in Engineering, Building Services or Facility Management required. Candidates with long proven track record, but without NITEC, may be considered.
Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Basic computer skills and experience using MS Office.
There is no shift work, but candidate will need to be comfortable with responding to after- office hour call & weekend assignment as required by business needs.
