Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Optimisation Officer in Singapore to analyse data and optimize operations for a client portfolio. You will collaborate with subcontractors, CBRE and client systems to extract insights and drive maintenance strategies.

The role focuses on IoT, data analytics, and building management systems, with dashboards built to monitor performance and efficiency across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in building management, BMS, IoT and data analytics.
• Knowledge of APIs, cloud IoT platforms and data management.
• Experience with PowerBI or similar visualization tools.
• Ability to analyze utility bills and establish baselines.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data from subcontractors' platform to optimise manpower and resources.
• Translate data from CBRE and Client systems into operational insights.
• Develop action plans to pre-empt equipment deterioration.
• Track repeated failure equipment and monitor performance issues.
• Ensure site performance metrics meet client standards.
• Identify anomalies in building performance and utilities usage.
• Analyse equipment operating parameters to optimise running conditions.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop fault rules for anomalies.
• Drive conditional, predictive and diagnostic maintenance.
• Develop business intelligence dashboards as required.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Building Optimisation Officer, you'll be responsible in the analysis of data and operational optimization for an assigned portfolio.

What You'll Do :

• Analyse the data coming from Subcontractors’ management platform and work with the Subcontractors to optimise manpower and resource allocation.
• Analyse the data in both CBRE and Client's systems / solutions to translate the data into operational insights, perform hotspots analysis, trends analysis and detect abnormalities.
• Utilise the insights and recommend key action plans to pre-empt and predict any deterioration of any equipment and persisting issues.
• Tracking, analysis of repeated failure equipment / systems and complaints of poor performance of operations.
• Ensure site performance such as response time, resolution time, utilities consumption across the contract portfolio complies to standards imposed by the Client.
• Identify anomalies in the building performance such as higher than usual utilities consumption, higher than usual fault reported etc.
• Analyse the equipment operating parameters in order to optimise the running conditions.
• Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement fault rules to pick up anomalies in the equipment.
• Drive conditional, predictive and diagnostic maintenance within the portfolio.
• Development of business intelligence dashboards as per requirements.

What You'll Need :

• Minimum Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related disciplines
• Minimum 5years’ experience in related industries with strong understanding of building management, building automation and BMS systems, with a focus on IoT, data analytics and engineering data management
• Understands building utility bills and has knowledge of establishing baseline and regression analysis.
• A good understanding of APIs, data manipulation, technical architecture, design and operations of cloud IoT platforms and their associated technologies e.g. MQTT, RESTful API, SSL TLS.
• Solid experience with data analytics concepts and visualization tools such as PowerBI or similar
