Job summary

A property services company in Singapore is seeking a Facility Manager to oversee operations and manage maintenance activities for a new development. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Real Estate or Facilities Management and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with building codes and leading a maintenance team. Candidates must have strong communication skills and be able to start immediately.

Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall facility management operations of a new development.
  • Manage and coordinate all Defects Liability Period (DLP) matters, including defect reporting, rectification, and documentation.
  • Lead the in-house maintenance team in all daily facilities maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance works (preventive, corrective, and ad-hoc) are carried out efficiently and on schedule.
  • Liaise closely with contractors, consultants, and vendors to monitor performance and recommend improvements.
  • Provide professional recommendations on M&E systems and building services to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, building codes, and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee the project’s operational readiness and maintain building systems in optimal condition.
  • Act as the appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM) — prepare ERP, CERT Team, ensure fire safety compliance, conduct inspections, drills, and maintain records as required by SCDF.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and update management and stakeholders regularly.
  • Promote continuous improvement and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance building performance and safety.
Requirements:
  • Diploma / Degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent with at least 3 years of working experience in the building & facility management industry
  • Technical Diploma in Building with 5 years relevant experience
  • Fire Safety Manager course and technical certificate with 2 years, relevant experiences
  • Good knowledge of Building Maintenance & Strata Management Act (BMSMA) will be an advantage
  • Experience in property & project management and A & A works
  • Good communication skills and ability to lead and coach other members of the team
  • Able to start work immediately or within short notice period
  • Only Singaporean are preferred.
