Job Summary
The BuggyMaintenance Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, repair, and safe operation readiness of all electric buggies and related transport vehicles within the property. This role ensures that all buggies are maintained to high safety, reliability, and guest-service standards, supporting smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Buggy Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of electric buggies, including brakes, steering, tyres, batteries, electrical systems, lights, and safety features
- Carry out preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and battery-related faults
- Conduct battery maintenance, charging management, replacement, and disposal in compliance with safety guidelines
- Ensure all buggies are fully operational and service‑ready at all times
2. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, SOPs, and risk management requirements
- Identify and rectify safety hazards promptly
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, checklists, and logbooks
- Support internal audits and inspections related to transport equipment
3. Operational Support
- Respond promptly to breakdowns or urgent maintenance requests
- Coordinate with operations teams (Front Office, Guest Services, Security, Housekeeping) to minimize service disruption
- Assist in planning and execution of major servicing or replacement schedulesSupport emergency response situations involving buggies when required
4. Inventory & Vendor Management
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, tools, and consumables
- Liaise with external vendors or suppliers for parts procurement, servicing, or warranty claims
- Provide technical input on new buggy purchases or upgrades
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related engineering fields
- Relevant technical or trade certification is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in vehicle, electric buggy, golf cart, or light automotive maintenance
- Experience in hospitality, resort, airport, or large commercial environments is highly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of electric vehicle systems, batteries, motors, controllers, and basic mechanics
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance schematics
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and documentation
