About the Role:

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspirational EYFS Classroom Teacher to start in August 2026. The core purpose of the EYFS Classroom Teacher is to deliver outstanding early years education that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and independence in every child. The EYFS Teacher will create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment that reflects the College’s values and promotes holistic development across all areas of learning.

What you will be doing:

  • Be responsible for the teaching of a class of pupils aged from eighteen months to five years of age.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework and the school’s curriculum policies.
  • Ensure medium‑term and short‑term plans are undertaken in accordance with school policy, reflecting progression across all seven areas of learning.
  • Provide a broad, balanced, play‑based curriculum that promotes the Characteristics of Effective Learning and supports children’s curiosity, confidence, and independence.
  • Ensure that the range of abilities among children is catered for through adaptive teaching and planned differentiated activities.
  • Use ongoing observation and assessment to inform next steps in learning and ensure all children make good progress.
  • Ensure that monitoring, recording, assessment, and reporting are undertaken in accordance with school policies.
  • Mark work, where applicable, appropriately and as immediately as possible, giving individual feedback and encouragement.
  • Liaise with the SENDCo to ensure early identification and support for children with additional learning needs.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with parents, ensuring clear and regular communication through the parent portal, reading diaries, meetings, and informal updates.
  • Manage the behaviour and discipline of children in accordance with the school behaviour policy, modelling calm, respectful interactions at all times.
  • Supervise and support the children during lunch and other non‑teaching times as required.
  • Be alert to safeguarding concerns and follow the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Take responsibility for after‑school activity clubs as agreed with the CCA coordinator.
  • Undertake duties and responsibilities as specified in the staff handbook and any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Head Master.

Who we are looking for:

  • He or she will have a university degree and teaching qualification from a recognised academic institution.
  • Minimally 5‑8 years as a Classroom teacher with British Curriculum School experience.
  • Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from a reputable school.
  • Proven track record of teaching in British Curriculum, with experience in an independent / international school is preferred.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, dedicated and loyal teachers who are ‘team‑players’.
