Responsibilities
  • Coordinates Stem Cell harvesting. Pre, during and after Apheresis process and planning schedule of both BMDP, patient or donor’s stem cell harvesting.
  • Schedule inpatient and outpatient visits for BMT patients with doctors’ indicated tests, instructions and provides assistance as needed.
  • Counsel and assist patient/family with donor selection, bone marrow transplant process (pre, during and post) and coordinates the entire patient care pathway.
  • Request for unrelated donor search, reviews search results by each registry and presents them to doctor.
  • Coordinates with registries re procurement of stem cells which includes confirmatory testing, shipment, transport and delivery of stem cells product timely.
  • Monitors patient / family before, during and after the transplant process for physical, emotional and / or psychological requirements and intervenes appropriately.
  • Working closely with primary Doctor, ID Physician, BMT nurses, Dietitian, counselor and physiotherapist to provide comprehensive care for the transplant patients and family.
  • Incorporates and operationalizes goals and objectives of PCC at site of patient care and BMT outcome.
  • Record and maintain clinical database on transplant patients including BMT outcome.
  • Educate patients / families and provide care to the population served.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and human relations with BMT team, patient and family.
  • Play the role well, uphold professionalism, commands respect and be competent.
Requirements
  • Diploma/ Degree or equivalent in the field of health sciences or biomedical sciences.
  • Relevant experience in stem cell transplant or cellular therapy or haematology or oncology related jobs will be an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Bilingual and knowledge of a foreign language will be an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Expected to travel between clinics to clinics when needed - Mount Elizabeth Orchard Hospital, Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
