BME Engineer (Healthcare)
Our client is looking for candidates for the position of BME Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with user department and various stakeholders in the preparation of medical equipment specifications for tenders
- Evaluate tender submissions
- Provide recommendation to users based on technical compliance of medical equipment in tender submissions
- Formulate, implement and review policies and procedures for Group BME, to be aligned with organization and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and track medical device alerts / recalls, and ensure completion of all corrective actions required of the alerts / recalls
- Represent Group BME as the Data Governance and Protection (DGP) Representative and serve as the PIC for all DGP related matters, such as the Personal Data Protection Act, NUHS Data Governance & Protection Policy and MOH HIM-DM
- Assist Group BME and site teams with internal and external audits
- Assist institution BME with site operations, such as Commissioning work (where applicable) to ensure department KPI met
- Liaise and manage external contractors on service and tender commitment issues
- Provide induction, supervise and guide new staff to the work under Governance & Risk / Technology Pillar
- Provide technical advisory to end users and senior management on medical equipment related issues
- Provide advice and guidance to function and institution staff on any arising matters
Requirements
- At least a Diploma in Electronics or relevant Engineering course with at least 8 years of experience in service and maintenance of medical equipment
- At least a Degree in Electronics or in relevant Engineering course with at least 2 years of experience in service and maintenance of medical equipment
- Preferably with experience working in healthcare institutions
- Good analytical and organization skills
