Qualifications

• NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma/Bachelor's in Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering/Life Science or related field.
• Candidates with no experience but relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and teamwork skills.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to cGMP and safety requirements.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping of production facilities.
• Support utilities sampling and environmental monitoring of cleanrooms.
• Support batch processing and operate related systems (washing cabinet, autoclave, fermenter, harvest vessel, etc).
• Operate and maintain equipment (magnetic stirrers, pH meter, conductivity meters, turbidity meter, osmometer).

Job description

The Attach and Train Programme (AnT) is a structured talent development programme designed to build a pipeline of skilled professionals forSingapore’s advanced biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, supporting both current and future workforce needs.

As a trainee, you will go through a15-month structured on-the-job trainingprogramme with GSK, gaining hands‑on experience, industry‑relevant skills, and mentorship from experienced professionals in a world‑leading biopharmaceutical environment.

We welcome applications from both fresh graduates and mid-career individuals who are passionate about developing a career in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

What will you do?

As a Biotechnologist, you will participate in preparations, operations and completion of assigned process stages to ensure the production of bulk drug substances within establish timing and quality standards. Additionally, you will ensure good housekeeping of facilities so as to keep them in good operational order in line with cGMP, safety and environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to cGMP and safety requirements
• Maintain area 5S and ensure good housekeeping of associated production facilities
• Support utilities sample and environmental monitoring of the cleanrooms
• Support batch processing and the related operate systems such as washing cabinet, autoclave, fermenter, harvest vessel, microfluidizer, mobile vessel, etc
• Operate and maintain equipment such as magnetic stirrers, viscometers, pH meter, conductivity meters, turbidity meter and osmometer.

What will you learn?

• Hands‑on pharmaceutical manufacturing operation such as fermentation, purification, aseptic operations, chromatography, ultrafiltration, material preparation, buffer preparation and other essential processes.

• NITEC/ Higher NITEC/ Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology/ Chemical Engineering/ Life Science or relevant field.

• Highly effective communication, facilitation, negotiation, and teamwork skills are required.
