Job summary
A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join their Biomedical Data Hub team in Singapore. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance microservices using Python, as well as building data ingestion pipelines and RESTful APIs for biomedical data. Candidates should have at least 2 years of software development experience and a relevant degree. Join a mission-driven project that impacts biomedical research significantly.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or a related web programming intensive course.
Expertise in at least one of the following areas: creating, maintaining, or implementing RESTful APIs, front-end development, microservices architecture.
2+ years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Python (and/or Node.js) and its data processing ecosystem (e.g. Pandas, SQLAlchemy).
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and maintain high-performance, containerised microservices using Python (FastAPI) for the BDH digital platform.
Build and manage data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured biomedical data.
Create and maintain RESTful APIs for data upload, query, and ETL processes.
