Job summary

AP PROJECTS & INFRASTRUCTURE PTE. LTD. seeks an on-site technical lead to manage BIM-based design and construction activities for major infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliant and timely delivery. The ideal candidate holds a degree in architecture or civil engineering with at least 3 years in construction, MRT or large-scale projects preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM software to produce and manage technical drawings and models.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
• Familiar with local building codes, regulations, and by-laws.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors, and authorities for seamless project delivery.
• Competency in interpreting and managing contract design documents to align project execution.
• Skilled in site surveying, setting out, and levelling to support installation and construction.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients and project teams.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed 3D models using BIM software to support design and execution.
• Prepare material samples aligned with project specifications for client approvals.
• Oversee selection and requisition of materials and plant for timely availability and compliance.
• Develop cost-effective technical solutions to meet objectives and budget.
• Serve as on-site technical adviser guiding subcontractors, manpower, and safety.
• Produce and revise AutoCAD/BIM site drawings to secure client approvals.
• Conduct site surveys to assist in setting out and levelling for installation.
• Verify plans and quantities for accurate project execution.
• Manage contract design documents provided by clients or architects.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, subcontractors, planners, and QS for submissions and progress.
• Liaise with authorities to ensure compliance with building regulations by-laws.
• Engage with clients to communicate project status and address concerns.
• Direct day-to-day site management including labor and subcontractor activities.
• Generate site cutting lists for procurement and fabrication.
• Finalize as-built drawings with QS for final claims.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting progress and issues.
• Identify and resolve technical difficulties to minimize delays.
