Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Design Engineer to manage design issues, produce construction drawings, and ensure design accuracy. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of CAD drafting and BIM modelling experience in the local industry. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project is essential. You will be working closely with project and sales departments while ensuring security of proprietary information. Qualifications

• Min 2 years of working experience in CAD drafting, preferably in a contractor firm.
• Min 2 years of working experience in BIM modelling, preferably in a contractor firm.
• Able to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Project Department on design issues and produce construction drawings.
• Assist Sales Department to produce design proposals.
• Ensure accuracy of design to minimize fabrication errors.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Project Department on Design issues and produce Construction and as-built drawings.
• To assist Sales Department to produce design proposal.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of design in order to ensure minimum error in material fabrication and site installation.
• To maintain and update the drawing database whilst maintaining historical records to enable supply of spare parts for older systems.
• To ensure that adequate security is maintained at all times to prevent unauthorized access of the Company's proprietary information.
• Liaise with Main Contractors for any coordination process.
• To understand and proficiently operate BIM-related software, including CAD and Navisworks, to support design coordination and Project Execution.
• To perform and task deemed necessary by the Management for the efficient running of the access of the operation of the Company.

Requirements

• Recognized Degree / Diploma in Architecture / Mechanical / Engineering.
• Min 2 years of working experience in CAD drafting in local industry (contractor firm preferred).
• Min 2 years of working experience in BIM modeller in local industry (Contractor firm preferred).
• Able to multi-task, Independent, self-discipline , willing to learn
• Able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
