The candidate will work as a member of the BIM team in Singapore and is expected to be detail‑oriented with extensive previous experience working as a BIM coordinator and/or manager. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to relate to and connect with the team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.
Responsibilities
- Team Management and Training: Lead and manage the BIM team, including BIM Authoring Leads, BIM Coordinators, and BIM Modelers. Provide training on BIM tools and processes to project team members, ensuring their proficiency in using Bentley BIM software.
- Model Management and Coordination: Coordinate BIM work across different discipline teams (e.g., architecture, structure, MEP, etc.). Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updating of BIM models, ensuring their accuracy and completeness. Facilitate model integration among discipline teams and resolve model conflicts.
- Model Quality & Schedule: Ensure that the models meet the project's timeline and quality requirements.
- Project Collaboration and Communication: Maintain close communication with project stakeholders (e.g., architects, engineers, contractors, owners) to ensure accurate BIM information transfer. Collaborate with external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, partners) to ensure seamless BIM data integration. Chair BIM coordination meetings to resolve technical and workflow issues in the project.
- Quality Control and Standards Compliance: Ensure that BIM models and deliverables meet project requirements and industry standards. Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Review the quality of BIM models to ensure they align with design intent and construction requirements.
- Technical Support and Innovation: Evaluate and introduce new BIM technologies and tools to enhance project efficiency and quality. Resolve technical issues encountered during BIM implementation and provide technical support. Promote innovative applications of BIM technology, such as 4D‑6D BIM.
- Data Management and Delivery: Manage project data within the BIM environment, ensuring its accuracy and consistency.
- Project Progress and Cost Control: Monitor the progress of BIM projects to ensure timely completion of models and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in BIM project implementation and develop mitigation measures. Ensure the security of BIM models and processes to prevent data breaches or loss.
Requirements
- Experienced in BIM applications and workflows across 2D to 6D.
- Must be highly skilled in Bentley platform software.
- Strong expertise in the design and construction of water treatment plants or similar industrial facilities.
- Minimum of 5 years of BIM project management experience, with prior experience as a BIM Manager preferred.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, as effective communication with stakeholders from China is essential.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Relevant BIM certifications are a plus.
