Job summary

KOH Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor (PTE.) LTD. is seeking BIM Coordinators (Civil & Structural, Architectural) to manage and coordinate BIM activities across project stages in Singapore.

The role emphasizes design accuracy, efficiency, and cross-team collaboration. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in design engineering or IDD, advanced BIM software proficiency, and a track record of coordinating multi-discipline models.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Specialist BIM Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) by BCA Academy; vendor BIM course also considered or DDM Tier 2.
• Minimum 6 years in design engineering, construction, or IDD project management.
• Minimum 5 years BIM experience as Project Level BIM Coordinator in large-scale projects.
• Completed at least one full cycle in either design or construction phase.
• Conversant in BIM software such as Solibri Office, Navigator, Navisworks Manage, or VRCollab.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support creation and development of BIM models for Civil & Structural disciplines.
• Coordinate BIM models between architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
• Use Navisworks Manage or Solibri to identify and resolve clashes.
• Ensure BIM models meet quality standards and project specs.
• Identify and resolve data, quality, or design clash issues with BIM team.
• Implement and follow BIM Execution Plan.
• Review models with project teams using Navisworks, Solibri, or VRCollab.
• Facilitate model coordination meetings with architecture, structural, and MEP teams.
• Maintain documentation of model progress and changes.
• Prepare periodic reports on model progress and resolutions.
• Incorporate as-built information and coordinate with contractors.

Job description

The BIM Coordinators (Civil & Structural, Architectural) are responsible in managing and coordinating BIM activities across project stages, ensuring design accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration. With experience in design engineering, construction, or integrated digital delivery (IDD), and advanced proficiency in BIM software, the PBC ensures models are accurate, accessible, and aligned with the project requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the creation and development of BIM models specific to Civil & Structural (C&S) disciplines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.

• Coordinate BIM models between architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams, facilitating effective collaboration and integration

• Utilize BIM software such as Navisworks Manage or Solibri Office to identify and resolve clashes, minimizing conflicts during construction.

• Ensure that the BIM models meet quality standards, checking for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.

• Identify and resolve any issues related to model data, quality, or design clashes in collaboration with the BIM team and project stakeholders.

• Implement and adhere to the BIM Execution Plan, ensuring that all processes, protocols, and milestones align with the project goals and digital delivery objectives.

• Regularly review models with project teams, using tools like Navisworks, Solibri, or VRCollab to communicate design updates, changes, and coordination requirements.

• Facilitate or participate in model coordination meetings with architectural, structural, and MEP teams, addressing technical issues and updating models as required.

• Maintain accurate documentation of model progress, updates, and changes, ensuring consistency with the project’s BIM execution and standards.

• Prepare periodic reports summarizing model progress, issues encountered, and resolutions, providing insight to project managers and stakeholders.

• Ensure that as-built information is properly incorporated into the model, coordinating with contractors to capture any deviations from design.

Role Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural.

• Certified with Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) by BCA Academy and any BIM authoring software’s modelling course by the software vendor’s authorized training provider. Candidate certified with Digital Delivery Lead (DDM Tier 2) will also be considered.

• Minimum 6 years of working experience in design engineering, construction engineering or integrated digital (IDD) project management

• Minimum 5 years of BIM experience as a Project Level BIM Coordinator role in large scale or infrastructure project

• Completed at least one full cycle at design phased or construction phase.

• Candidate is preferable to be conversant in one (1) of the BIM software such as Solibri Office, Navigator, Navisworks Manage, VRCollab, etc.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
