Job Summary:
As a Bartender one of your goals is to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Being a good Bartender you must be able to create classic and from sultry to innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons according to recipes and customer preferences;
- Interact with customers, present menus, take orders and serve snacks & drinks;
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations;
- Conduct opening and closing duties, including setting up of the bar;
- To collaborate with the management on beverage programme planning and designing of the bar menu;
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies;
- Keep the bar area organized;
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience;
- Manage the bar’s inventory, including restocking liquor, mixers, and garnishes;
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards;
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently following the SOP;
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations and when necessary to check customers’ identification and confirm that they are of legal drinking age; and
- Any other duties as required by the Company or management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years of relevant proven experience in food and beverage services as a Bartender
- Proficient in cocktails/mocktails mixing, garnishing, and serving customers.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS, InfoGenesis, etc.) and able to perform cashiering duties
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Able to create a beverage programme suitable to the outlet’s concept and maintain a seasonal or signature cocktail menu to enhance the bar’s beverage offerings.
