Job Summary
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the club’s bar while actively serving as a lead bartender during operating hours. This hybrid role combines leadership, creativity, and hands‑on service. The ideal candidate is passionate about mixology, efficient in operations, and confident in leading a team in a high‑energy, fast‑paced nightlife environment.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 1. Bar Operations Management
- Oversee all bar operations, ensuring smooth service throughout the night.
- Open and close the bar, handling setup and breakdown procedures.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate bar layout and workflow for speed and efficiency.
🔹 2. Bartending & Customer Service
- Serve guests directly during club hours — preparing classic and signature cocktails, beer, wine, and non‑alcoholic drinks.
- Ensure speed, consistency, and quality in drink preparation.
- Provide a friendly, engaging experience for all guests, especially VIPs and regulars.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally.
🔹 3. Staff Supervision & Training
- Recruit, train, and schedule bar staff (bartenders, barbacks, runners).
- Conduct regular training on drink recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for punctuality, appearance, and customer service.
🔹 4. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
- Place timely orders with approved suppliers.
- Track usage, wastage, and theft; maintain cost controls and minimize loss.
- Maintain stock rotation and ensure freshness of ingredients.
🔹 5. Menu Development
- Create and update cocktail menus in collaboration with the Brand & Marketing Manager.
- Introduce seasonal or themed drinks aligned with events and promotions.
- Stay updated on mixology trends and integrate innovative offerings.
🔹 6. Financial Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cash handling, POS transactions, and end‑of‑night reconciliations.
- Submit nightly bar reports, including sales performance and stock consumption.
- Help monitor bar revenue vs. cost to meet profit targets.
🔹 7. Licensing & Compliance
- Ensure bar operations comply with Singapore's licensing laws and alcohol service regulations.
- Train team in responsible serving and ID verification protocols.
