Job summary

MO. MADAME OOZE PTE. LTD. in Singapore’s Chinatown and Kampong Glam area is seeking a barista who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. You will greet customers, take orders, accept payments, and prepare and serve foods and drinks in a fast-paced, friendly setting.

You will maintain a clean, well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and deepen your knowledge of beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation techniques to delight guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage or customer service preferred.
• Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Availability to work peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Polite, engaging personality and commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
• Preparing foods and beverages, grinding/blending coffee, brewing, and serving to customers.
• Packaging food and beverages for sale.
• Selling coffee, tea blends and brewing equipment while educating customers on methods.
• Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas and sanitizing equipment.
• Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
• Learning brewing methods and presentation techniques to improve quality.
• Working as part of a high-energy team in a fast-paced environment.
