Job summary

Vista Musical Instruments in Clarke Quay, Singapore, is seeking a Barista/Service Crew to support daily cafe and bar operations. You will deliver warm, personalised service, suggest beverages, manage payments, and uphold quality standards across coffee, cocktails, beers, and wines.

Qualifications

• Prior cafe/bar/barista experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of specialty coffee, cocktails, and alcoholic beverages.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-player with positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, efficient, personalized service to guests in cafe and bar settings.
• Engage with patrons to understand preferences and recommend coffee, cocktails, craft beers, or wines.
• Handle guest payments and operate the POS system accurately.
• Upsell and promote specials.
• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, tea, cocktails, craft beers, and wines.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage types and brewing methods.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, rotation, and presentation of beverages.
• Assist with opening/closing bar procedures including stock storage and handover.
• Uphold beverage quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor freshness, equipment cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Comply with responsible service standards and allergen awareness.
• Keep areas clean, sanitised, and well-organised.
• Adhere to food safety and workplace safety regulations.
• Assist with restocking, inventory counts, and delivery checks.
• Report shortages or discrepancies to Cafe Lead or Manager.
• Participate in waste-control and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Be prepared to work during events, pop-ups, or extended hours.
• Perform ad-hoc duties including cross-floor shifts or promotions.
• Collaborate with cafe, kitchen, and events teams to ensure seamless guest experience.
