Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and service-driven individuals to join our team and help us share our love for tea. As a Barista at The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., you are the face of our brand, responsible for creating a welcoming environment and providing exceptional customer service. You will be a tea enthusiast who can skillfully prepare our signature tea and coffee beverages, educate customers on our products, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage from sandwiches and waffles to signature tea blends and coffee, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide excellent, personalized service. Take and process orders accurately, handle cash and electronic payments, and proactively promote and upsell products to meet store targets.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's tea products, brewing methods, and promotions to effectively engage with customers, answer their questions, and make recommendations.
  • Store Operations & Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including the tea bar counter, equipment, and customer-facing areas. Restock and replenish products and supplies regularly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive and dynamic workplace culture.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
Minimum Requirements
  • A service-driven, outgoing, and positive attitude with a passion or appreciation for tea.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Prior experience in a food and beverage (F&B) or retail setting is preferred. Barista or bubble tea experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
