What you are expected:
Curation, Coordination & Communication:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea beverages and cocktails
- Create and serve classic and signature cocktails with precision and flair
- Curate bespoke coffee recipe, tea recipe and cocktail recipe – quarterly
- Curate seasonal drink menu - monthly
- Coordinate with vendors and caterers together with the Meeting & Events Team, Community Team and Operations Team whenever F&B are required from the barista bar
- Work closely with the Meeting and Events Team, Community Team and Operations Team whenever a barista is required for events
Members Engagement & Execution:
- Engage members on drink options and make recommendations
- Provide excellent customer service
- Remembering members’ names and their beverage preference
- Increasing F&B revenue
- Manage inventory expenses and minimize wastage
Inventory Management & Bar Maintenance:
- Conduct daily checks of bars and equipment to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety, food safety and quality standards
- Manage inventory of bar equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and upkeep
- Ensure all necessary equipment and materials are available, functional, and properly set-up before the bar starts operations
Miscellaneous:
- Operate the espresso machines and grinders with precision
- Ensure consistent beverage quality and presentation
- Identify and promote upselling opportunities to enhance the overall bar experience for clients
- Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the bar activity, including health and safety considerations
- Flexibility may be required, including the possibility of working outside regular business hours, such as weekends or public holidays, to ensure successful event execution
What we are looking for:
Education:
- Formal barista or mixology training
- Knowledge of coffee origins, bean types and tasting notes
- Flair bartending and latte art skills
- Food handling certification
- Good command of written and spoken English
Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience as a barista and mixologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members, colleagues, and vendors
- Knowledge of food, coffee brewing techniques and cocktail preparation.
- Passion for beverage craft and hospitality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team player with ability to work independently, thrive under pressure and come up with proactive, rational solutions in challenging circumstances
