Job summary

A leading beverage service provider in Singapore is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the service team, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Food & Beverage Management, at least 2 years of supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of beverages. Job description
Job Purpose

Oversee the daily bar/clubhouse operations, lead the service team, maintain product and service standards, manage inventory and cash handling, and ensure full compliance with food safety and workplace safety policies to achieve maximum operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain wine lists, alcohol, and non‑alcoholic beverage menus with accurate costing and pricing.
  • Manage stock control, place purchase orders, and ensure sufficient supplies for the bar and beverage unit.
  • Verify deliveries, check item accuracy, and maintain correct supporting documentation.
  • Maintain bar area cleanliness, hygiene, and service readiness at all times.
  • Perform and manage accurate daily cash‑up, reporting, and administrative paperwork.
  • Train, coach, and supervise frontline staff to ensure service excellence.
  • Assign duties according to operational needs and optimise team resources.
  • Resolve customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitate staff communication and support conflict resolution within the team.
  • Ensure all employees deployed have received role briefing and required training before duty.
  • Ensure strict compliance with fire safety, licensing, food safety (Sodexo standards), and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.
  • Support food safety tasks including temperature monitoring, safe storage practices, food sampling, and record‑keeping.
  • Perform any other bar or safety‑related duties assigned by the Unit Manager or Management.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Minimum Diploma in Food & Beverage Management or a related qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience supervising a bar or beverage service operation.
  • Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages.
  • Leadership, training, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with food safety and workplace safety policies.
  • Cash handling and inventory management experience.
