JOB SUMMARY

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the overall commercial management of how the bank engages and spends money with its external third-party vendors. To meet increasing business and efficiency, the SCM team is looking for a candidate with strong experience in sourcing / procurement / finance and the gravitas to engage stakeholders across the Bank.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and reporting KPIs (financial and non-financial). This role requires a combination of financial acumen, procurement expertise, and analytical skills to ensure performance initiatives are effectively implemented and agreed with CFO’s and programme leadership stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
SAVINGS IDENTIFICATION AND VALIDATION
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to manage financial and non-financial performance across various categories of spend.
  • Validate and quantify benefits of initiatives to ensure accuracy and initiatives meet CFO requirements for approval. Examples would be cost reductions / avoidances, vendor consolidation, turn-around time, among others.
  • Understand Procurement activities and processes to be able to track the above and substantiate efficiency claims and business cases.
  • Understands core finance terminology to communicate effectively with CFOs.
PERFORMANCE TRACKING AND REPORTING
  • End to end documentation, submission, approval & reporting of category savings initiatives to finance.
  • Monitor procurement performance metrics (including KPIs financial and non-financial) to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards/reports to provide visibility into procurement performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial and non-financial performance data reported.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management to support decision‑making processes.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all documentation.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Identifies and mitigates risks that would impact the overall achievement of targets.
  • Ensures initiatives are prioritized and delivered against agreed timelines.
  • Provide regular status reports to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Provides guidance on performance process, systems, policy and procedure.
  • Act as a point of contact for queries related to procurement savings governance.
CROSS FUNCTIONAL ENGAGEMENT
  • Work in a highly effective Supply Chain Management (SCM) team that will ensure savings recognition across the group Strategy and Talent function.
  • Keeps open channels of communication to ensure high level of engagement
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
RISK & GOVERNANCE
  • Plays a key role in working with the Business and Supplier to minimise identified risks through the engagement
  • Assist in effective governance and controls for supplier risk management across the bank
  • Operate in compliance with mandated sourcing and finance processes, policies and procedures
  • Ensure sourcing compliance as per Third Party Risk Management policy
EXPERIENCE
  • At least a Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in Chinese is required to liaise with Chinese‑speaking clients and handle documentation in Chinese. Korean language skills are an advantage for engaging with Korean‑speaking stakeholders.
  • At least 6-8 years’ working experience in a strategic sourcing or finance or related role, project management.
  • Proven experience in procurement, finance, or a related role, with a focus on savings and cost management
  • Previous experience of working within the Financial Services or technology sector is an advantage
  • Relevant experience in stakeholder management (i.e. practices, leadership, effectiveness).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate benefits.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Able to use ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba and Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Advanced business management skills including stakeholder management, commercial judgment and process improvement.
