Job summary

The Ballet School (BP) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced ballet teacher who can inspire students from toddlers to adults.

You will plan and deliver RAD-based classes, demonstrate techniques, and guide junior instructors to deliver high-quality lessons. You will also prepare students for annual exams, participate in school events, and create choreography for student productions, choosing music and coordinating costumes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in RAD syllabus is advantageous.
• Possess at least a Dance Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• Min RAD Intermediate Certificate of Achievement or Dance Diploma, or performing experience with a professional dance company.
• CBTS (RAD), Dance Degree qualifications and performing experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach stimulating classical ballet classes for age groups from Toddler to Adult.
• Lead, groom, and direct junior instructors to maintain high teaching standards.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and syllabi.
• Conduct teachers’ meetings to update syllabus changes.
• Explain and demonstrate proper techniques to students.
• Identify student needs and develop each child’s dance potential.
• Prepare students for yearly exams and reflect on teaching methods.
