Position: Baker (R&D) Job ID: 19916- CK
Salary: Basic up to $3,800
5 days work week
Responsibilities
- Daily preparation and production of cake and pastry products sample.
- Perform baking comparison test by incorporating emulsifiers into baked products.
- Creating new product prototypes and recipe formulation including tweaking the taste profiles of the food products as based on food taste test results / experimentation.
- Responsible for the conceptualization, development, testing and scaling of new recipes.
- To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new products / recipes.
- Ensure good personal hygiene, proper sanitation and cleanliness of work area and kitchen tools.
- Decorating finished products.
- Assist in the modification and improvement of baking products to ensure it is relevant to the current needs of the target customer.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Minimum Polytechnic Diploma
- 3 years’ working experience in the cake bakery
- Passion for baking and positive attitude
- Create and innovative
- Highly motivated, customer-centric, and able to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Possess knowledge of baking skills and techniques
- Maintain a good knowledge of industry trends and changes
