Job summary

Cloudfields Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a baker for daily production of breads, pastries, cakes, waffles and other baked goods following established recipes. You will measure, mix, proof, shape and bake to ensure consistent quality and portion size.

The role requires 1-2 years in a bakery environment, basic baking knowledge, and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen with strict hygiene standards. Shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a baker or in a commercial bakery/kitchen
• Formal training in baking or pastry arts is preferred but not essential
• Good knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and food preparation
• Able to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
• Able to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
• Positive attitude, reliable work ethic and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce breads, pastries, cakes, waffles and other baked products according to recipes and specifications
• Measure, mix, proof, shape and bake products accurately and consistently
• Ensure all baked products meet the required standards for taste, texture, appearance and portion size
• Prepare ingredients and ensure sufficient mise en place before production
• Monitor baking temperatures, timing and equipment to achieve consistent results
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the baking area, equipment and storage areas
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards at all times
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise wastage
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use
• Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure production meets daily operational requirements
