Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to standardized recipes and specific instructions from the pastry chef.
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients for doughs, batters, fillings, and icings.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, such as mixers, ovens, and pastry molds, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assemble and decorate pastries, cakes, and desserts with precision and attention to detail, ensuring they meet the required standards for taste and presentation.
  • Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized section, including workstations, storage areas, and refrigeration units.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, following all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other members of the culinary team, providing assistance as needed in different kitchen areas during peak periods or special events.
  • Assist with food plating and presentation for catering events or restaurant service, ensuring consistency and high-quality output.
  • Support the chef in any other related tasks or projects as assigned.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
