About the role

We're seeking an experienced Baker to join our team.

As a Baker, you'll play a vital role in producing a wide range of high-quality baked goods and pastries to delight our customers. This is a full-time position based in Biopolis.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and baking a variety of tarts, pastries, cakes, croissants and other baked goods to our exacting standards
2. Ensuring all products meet our high quality and presentation requirements
3. Maintaining a clean and organised work area to comply with food safety regulations
4. Develop new and innovative baked products
5. Assisting with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
6. Providing excellent customer service when interacting with customers in the cafe
7. Helping out with preparation of Mains orders during Lunch Hour.

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, ideally within a fast-paced cafe or bakery environment
2. Strong practical baking skills and knowledge of various baking techniques
3. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet production targets
4. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
5. Strong hygiene and food safety awareness
6. Passion for creating high-quality baked goods and providing excellent customer service
7. Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
