Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Backend Engineer to design and enhance scalable backend services and AI-powered applications, including LLM and chatbot solutions.

You will collaborate with product, AI/ML and engineering teams to develop APIs, integrate AI models and deliver production-grade software. Familiarity with FastAPI/Flask/Django, REST APIs and cloud environments is important.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on Python backend development experience.
• Experience with Python backends frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices and backend architecture.
• Experience integrating LLMs, Generative AI or chatbot applications.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python backend applications and services.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs to support web, mobile and AI apps.
• Develop LLM-powered AI applications and chatbots.
• Integrate with LLMs and external AI APIs.
• Implement RAG workflows to improve LLM responses.
• Ensure security, testing, and performance optimizations.
• Containerise and deploy with Docker and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and AI/ML engineers.
