Job summary

Shopee Singapore Private Limited’s Engineering and Technology team builds the platform foundations powering Shopee’s scale. Interns will design and develop the Cloud Native DevOps Platform, focusing on automation, data correction and AIOps, in collaboration with site reliability and ML reliability engineers.

We seek Bachelor’s students in computer science or related fields who are passionate about coding and solving hard problems, with strong fundamentals in CS and experience in languages like

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• Strong coding passion and problem solving.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, OS, networks, databases, software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Go, Python, C++, Java, AnsiSQL).
• Ability to think logically and work in a team.
• Full-time interns preferred (6 months).
• Part-time interns who can commit at least 3 working days a week are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Shopee Cloud Native DevOps Platform, including automation and data correction.
• Evolve Shopee Cloud Native infrastructures and empower businesses via Cloud Native stacks.
• Collaborate with SREs and ML Reliability Engineers to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
• Improve availability, stability, and security of the DevOps Platform.
• Develop automation and BigData solutions to detect and fix problems and respond to incidents quickly.

Job Description:

• Design and develop Shopee Cloud Native DevOps Platform, including automation, configuration, recommendation, data correction, AIOps etc
• Evolve Shopee Cloud Native infrastructures and empower businesses via Cloud Native technology stacks
• Work closely with Site Reliability Engineers, Machine Reliability Engineers and other engineers to continuously improve the development, delivery efficiency and quality of applications via Shopee Cloud Native DevOps Platform.
• Improve Shopee Cloud Native DevOps Platform's availability, stability, security and extensibility to ensure the smooth running of Shopee Cloud Native DevOps Platform
• Develop and implement automation, engineering, and BigData solutions to detect and fix potential problems via test-driven development, chaos engineering and regular fire drills, and react quickly to incidents to reduce unnecessary manual operations and improve response time

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or any related fields
• Passionate about coding and programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems
• In-depth understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networks, databases, software architecture, etc)
• Strong and hands-on experience with at least one of the programming languages: Go, Python, C++, Java, AnsiSQL
• Strong logical thinking ability
• Full-time interns preferred (6 months)
