Position Summary

As a B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Jet Aviation you will be working as part of a dedicated maintenance team and will be responsible for successfully carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks on an aircraft in accordance with Jet Aviation procedures and aviation regulations. You will be operating under the Jet Aviation Part 145 approval, the Jet Aviation Health and Safety policy, customer requests and other airworthiness requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform un‑scheduled & scheduled maintenance tasks: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft per manufacturer guidelines, MOE and maintenance schedule in line with regulatory requirements; inspecting, repairing, and replacing parts, systems, and components; proficient with tools and equipment.
  • Execute and oversee aircraft inspections, modifications, maintenance tasks, repairs within license scope.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues: diagnose aircraft systems and components using tests, diagnostic equipment, and data analysis to identify root causes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements: ensure all maintenance activities comply with airworthiness directives, service bulletins, other maintenance requirements; keep up‑to‑date with latest regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records: maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, work performed, and parts used; use computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Communicate with other maintenance personnel, pilots, and management to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operation; explain technical issues simply and collaborate to resolve problems.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment: ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies; maintain tools, equipment, and work areas clean and free of hazards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance personnel; explain complex technical concepts simply and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Ensures safety and product quality at all times.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate recording of work executed on the aircraft.
  • If needed, execute and oversee off‑base aircraft projects without local supervision.
  • Supports Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors in coordinating with and functionally overseeing Technicians to execute tasks.
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time in order to ensure operating and business success.
Minimum Requirements
  • Mechanical/technical apprenticeship (preferably in aviation or related field).
  • Valid B1 license holder without limitation (preferably CAAS, EASA or FAA A'P).
  • A minimum of one business‑relevant Aircraft type rating (as requested by the business and authorized by Quality/Safety & EHS function).
  • Experience in using SAP ERP or equivalent.
  • Intermediate level English, min. B2 level; able to communicate, read and understand maintenance tasks in English manuals.
  • Additional specific knowledge, skills, abilities & other characteristics as required in the relevant MOE might apply.
  • Strong communication skills to exchange technical information.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage priorities of the job.

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircraft arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
