Job summary

Flintex Consulting in Singapore is seeking an Data Engineer (Azure) to design, build and optimize PySpark data pipelines and master data workflows. You will implement Synapse-based orchestration, develop Power BI dashboards with row-level security, and connect to diverse data sources including on‑prem, APIs and IoT devices.

The role emphasizes cloud ETL development, collaboration, and deployment using Azure DevOps, with a standard 8:30am–6pm onsite schedule in Singapore.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; 2 years of Azure Data engineering, Python, PySpark or Big Data development.
Sound Knowledge of Azure Synapse analytics for pipelines, orchestration, set up.
1–2 years experience in Visualization design and development with Power BI; knowledge of row-level security.
Strong SQL, Datawarehouse, data marts, data ingestion with PySpark and Python.
Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines in cloud platforms (Azure Synapse or Data Factory).
Team player with good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
DevOps expertise is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, review and development of PySpark scripts; testing and troubleshooting data pipelines and orchestration.
Design and develop reports and dashboards in Power BI with row-level security DAX access control.
Connect to source data systems: on-prem databases, IoT devices, APIs.
Manage data in storage/data-base solutions: file systems, SQL servers, Hadoop or similar big data platforms.
Develop data pipelines using PySpark, and perform batch data ingestion.
Perform data integration via table joins and other methods per project needs.
Deploy pipeline artifacts from one environment to another using Azure DevOps.
