Job summary

Progression Search is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Singapore to manage Azure/cloud environments for the APAC region. You will optimize infrastructure, handle AKS workloads, and implement IaC with Terraform, Bicep and Ansible for scalable operations.

You will collaborate with Global IT teams, ensure security/compliance, and drive continuous improvements in cloud services and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, CS or related field, or pursuing a relevant qualification.
• Proven Azure cloud experience with PaaS and cloud-native technologies.
• Hands-on AKS and container orchestration experience.
• Strong Linux administration in cloud environments.
• IaC/automation with Terraform, Bicep and Ansible.
• PowerShell and Bash scripting skills; development background advantageous.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, security, identity and governance.
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/CKS) desirable or willing to obtain.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure in the APAC region.
• Manage Azure identity, access, and hybrid identity integration using AD Connect.
• Implement governance, security, cost-management controls.
• Monitor environments for performance, security posture, and alerts.
• Respond to incidents, ensuring SLA compliance and timely resolution.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Bicep and Ansible; PowerShell/Bash scripting.
• Manage container workloads with AKS and Azure Container Apps.
• Backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud resources.
• Vulnerability checks and compliance assessments across clouds.
• Collaborate with Global IT on cloud integration and deployments.
• Provide off-hours support for global deployments.
• Apply on-premises knowledge for cloud migration and hybrid runs.
• Lead operational initiatives and drive improvements.
