Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer (DevOps, AI) on a 1-year contract to drive cloud transformation, automation, and AI enablement within a public sector technology team.

The role focuses 70% on DevOps/Automation/Platform Engineering/AI & Security and 30% on Cloud Infrastructure, delivering scalable cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will design and support IaC, enterprise cloud platforms, and Kubernetes-based environments,

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud engineering.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure and operational requirements.
• Comfortable troubleshooting production incidents with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including reusable modules and templates, and standardise deployments across environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application and infrastructure deployments, improving release management and deployment reliability.
• Integrate security and compliance controls into CI/CD workflows and support DevSecOps practices across the development lifecycle.
• Support AI-enabled cloud platforms and enterprise AI initiatives, including designing infrastructure for AI workloads, integrating AI services/APIs, and participating in AI POC and pilot implementations.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, support AI governance/security/compliance requirements, and drive productivity improvements through AI-assisted automation.
• Deploy and support containerised applications, manage Kubernetes-based platforms, and implement GitOps practices (e.g. ArgoCD).
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions, develop operational dashboards, and perform performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage secrets and credentials securely, support vulnerability scanning and remediation, and implement IM8 compliance requirements.
