Job summary

Amazon Web Services Singapore Private Limited is seeking a Delivery Consultant to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet customer requirements and drive success along the cloud journey. You will lead migration strategies, provide guidance on best practices, and mentor teams throughout project delivery.

The role requires deep AWS product knowledge, strong software engineering background, and experience in large-scale distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
• Database internals & High Availability: Deep understanding of database internals (memory, I/O, storage) with expertise in Oracle (RAC, Data Guard, ASM) and MSSQL (Always On, FCI, Log Shipping)
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Proficient in Oracle performance tools (AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Profiles/Baselines) and MSSQL optimization (Query Store, Execution Plans, Columnstore/Filtered Indices, Wait Stats)
• Database Migrations & Modernization: Experienced in version upgrades (Oracle 12c-19c, MSSQL 2016-2022), cross-platform migrations using AWS SCT and DMS, and legacy to open-source modernization (Oracle/MSSQL to PostgreSQL/MySQL); Strong background in database security including TDE, auditing, and fine-grained access control
• Software Engineering & Distributed Systems: Extensive experience in large-scale software development with multiple programming languages (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript), proven track record in designing highly available distributed systems, and expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, code reviews, testing, and deployment management

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
• Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
