Job summary

Tangspac Consulting PTE LTD is seeking an AVP in Singapore to lead Electronic Execution Services for the Institutional Business, focusing on ASEAN market dynamics and execution strategies.

You will advise clients on algorithmic trading, smart order routing, and workflow optimization, while partnering with product, technology, and regional sales teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher is required.
• CMFAS certificates (M1A, M5, M6, M6A) or exempted exams; CMFAS certificate (M2A) is a plus.
• At least 4 years of trading and execution experience in ASEAN equities.
• Strong ownership, fast learning, and attention to numbers.
• Comfort with change, ambiguity, and informed risk taking.
• Multi-tasking across streams with a proactive mindset.
• Willingness to work on Singapore public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on ASEAN market microstructure and liquidity dynamics.

• Monitor developments in ASEAN market structure, exchange initiatives, and regulatory changes impacting electronic trading.
• Work closely with product and technology teams to communicate client feedback and drive platform enhancements.
• Partner with regional sales trading, execution consulting, product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure onboarding and client support.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing trading capabilities and client stickiness.
• Support marketing and industry engagement activities, including conferences, industry forums, and client events.

Position : AVP, Electronic Execution Services, Institutional Business

We are helping a leading brokerage and investment bank with a reach extending across ASEAN, the UK and the US, to hire.

These include corporate finance & advisory, navigating debt and equity capital markets, derivatives trading, brokerage and research for both retail and institutional investors, and prime brokerage.

Reporting to: Head, Electronic Trading, Institutional Business

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on ASEAN market microstructure, execution strategies, liquidity dynamics, and trading venue characteristics.
• Advise clients on electronic execution solutions, algorithmic trading strategies, smart order routing, and trading workflow optimization.
• Monitor developments in ASEAN market structure, exchange initiatives, and regulatory changes impacting electronic trading.
• Work closely with product and technology teams to communicate client feedback and drive platform enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or higher

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in trading & execution in any ASEAN equities market
• A strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Fast learner, possessing the willingness to learn and a can-do attitude
• Meticulous and good with numbers
• Comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, conflict and informed risk taking
• Quick and decisive thinking and the ability to perform in a dynamic and stressful environment
• Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently

• Able to work on Singapore public holidays as other markets are trading

Additional Skills and Experience

• Understanding of the trading ecosystem lifecycle
• Familiarity of various cash equities market's microstructure
• Basic understanding of algo trading logic
• Hands‑on exposure to regional cash equities markets
• Exposure to the client onboarding processExperience with Futures trading ecosystem is a plus
• Experience with trading platforms and sales trading coverage is a plus
