Qualifications

About the role

Megawatt Installation Pte Ltd, a leading provider of electrical and electronic engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled AV lighting and sound technician to join our team in the North‑East Region. This full‑time role is responsible for the rental, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of advanced audio‑visual, lighting and sound systems for a wide range of commercial and industrial clients.

What you’ll be doing

1. Install, configure and test AV equipment, including speakers, lighting, projectors and control systems
2. Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on AV, lighting and sound systems
3. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure seamless system integration and operation
4. Provide technical support and training to end‑users on the operation of AV equipment
5. Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities and service requests
6. Stay up‑to‑date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends

What we’re looking for

1. Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Audio Engineering or a related technical field
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an AV lighting and sound technician, with a proven track record of successful installations and maintenance
3. Skills: Proficient in the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of AV equipment, including speakers, lighting, projectors and control systems; strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills; excellent communication and customer service skills
4. Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as AVIXA CTS or CEDIA Certified Technician, would be highly advantageous
