Job summary

Venti Technologies, based in multiple Asia-Pacific hubs, seeks a motivated student to join the autonomous vehicle retrofit and production team in Singapore. You will assist engineers across production, QC, and software configuration, while learning hands-on through real-world tasks.

This internship focuses on hardware, tooling, and software readiness for autonomous driving systems. The role offers exposure to cross-functional manufacturing activities and a chance to contribute to safety,

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and electrical components.
• Able to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and carrying out vehicle production and configuration.
• Help prepare RFQs and purchase requests, and manage inventory.
• Carry out incoming quality checks (QC) and support FATs.
• Build hardware tools, jigs and software tools to speed up production.
• Test and troubleshoot retrofitted vehicles under supervision.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing work instructions and drawings.
• Set up software configurations for the autonomous driving system.
• Provide technical support to the team as needed.

Role Responsibilities

• Production: Assist the engineering team in planning and carrying out vehicle production, including component set-up and configuration.
• Purchasing: Assist in preparing requests for quotation (RFQs) and purchase requests, following up with vendors, and managing inventory and packaging.
• Quality: Carry out incoming quality checks (QC) and support factory acceptance tests (FATs).
• Tools: Assist in building hardware tools, jigs and software tools that speed up production, automate QC, and make maintenance and troubleshooting faster.
• Testing: Test and troubleshoot retrofitted vehicles under supervision.
• Documentation: Assist in drafting and reviewing work instructions and drawings.
• Software: Assist in setting up software configurations for the autonomous driving system.
• General support: Provide technical support to the team as needed.

Required Experience

• Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and electrical components.
• Able to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and a desire to learn about retrofitting processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
• Bonus: Basic coding skills (e.g. Python or C++). Using AI coding tools is welcome.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the Linux command line.
• Bonus: Experience with CAD software.
