  • At least 2 years of field or workshop experience in breakdown response or vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, battery maintenance, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Be on standby during off-peak hours (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM), as rostered.
  • Upon activation, arrive at the appointed breakdown site within 1 hour.
  • Ensure readiness with tools, equipment, and PPE for immediate response.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical failures on-site.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis, including visual and functional inspections and testing.
  • Replace or repair faulty components as necessary.
  • Accurately update the vehicle status to the responsible engineer or control center.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to neutralize critical faults.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring fault patterns.

Skills

Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues

  • Ensure readiness with tools, equipment, and PPE for immediate response.
Breakdown Response
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical failures on-site.

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis, including:
    • Visual and functional inspections
    • Component testing and diagnostics
    • Temperature checks for overheating components
    • Battery removal and safe handling procedures
    • Battery soaking and neutralization for leakage or contamination
  • Replace or repair faulty components as necessary.
Reporting & Communication
  • Accurately update the vehicle status to the responsible engineer or control center.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to neutralize critical faults.
  • Record all service actions, test results, and parts used in maintenance logs or service software.
Preventive & Support Tasks
  • Assist in preventive maintenance activities when not on active breakdown duty.
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and testing equipment in ready condition.
