A leading automotive service company in Singapore is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles, ensuring safety compliance and high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Automotive Technology and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those experienced in hybrid or EV systems.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, including internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and electric vehicles (EVs). This role ensures that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards, enabling timely discharge of vehicles from the workbay
Perform routine maintenance services and general repairs on ICE, hybrid, and EV vehicles.
Conduct inspections and servicing of mechanical and electrical systems including brakes, suspension, steering, and transmission.
Replace worn or defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets quality standards and is completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults in ICE, hybrid, and EV systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, including high‑voltage systems in EVs.
Interpret diagnostic codes and technical manuals to guide repair procedures.
Perform battery health checks, cooling system inspections, and software updates for EVs and hybrids.
Safely handle high‑voltage components and follow manufacturer‑specific protocols.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and service procedures for EVs and hybrid vehicles.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Assist supervisors with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Ensure proper documentation of service records and parts usage.
Report unsafe work activities, incidents/accidents, and participate in investigations in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards.
Participate in WSH and EV safety training programs and comply with safety procedures, especially when working with high‑voltage systems.
Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, including exposure to hybrid or EV systems preferred.
