Job summary

A technology and manufacturing firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Singapore to conduct detailed machine design and prepare necessary documentation and models. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in automation systems design, proficiency in Solid Works, and strong project management skills. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing automation systems, jigs and fixtures, robotics, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to communicate well with customers, vendors, engineers, and team members.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001) preferred.

Job description

To do conceptual and detailed machine design with regard to mechanical aspects.

To prepare solid models, layouts, views and bills of materials for assigned design machine assemblies and sub-assemblies.

To prepare final design configurations, layouts, solid models and production/engineering data.

To assist in preparation of machine documentation, specifications, manual.

Able to perform assigned tasks independently or through team activities.

Self‑motivated, resourceful and organized.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma or relevant in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing automation systems, jig and fixture, robotics and conveyor system.
• Preferably with working experience in designing automation systems, jig and fixture, robotics and conveyor system.
• Proficiency with Solid Works is desirable.
• Expertise in designing mechanical systems, machine components, medical devices and automation solutions, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 9001 etc.).
• Knowledge of automation technologies, including PLC programming, robotics, and control systems.
• Familiarity or experience in additive manufacturing, materials science, or 3D printing is considered a valuable advantage.
• Ability to lead, manage project and communicate well with customers, vendors, engineers, technicians, and team members.
